Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years is preferred, but we are open to skilled individuals with less experience.

  • Current Oregon Massage Therapy License: Valid and in good standing upon hire.

  • Malpractice Insurance: Proof of malpractice insurance upon hire.

  • Educational Background: Completion of an accredited massage therapy program.

  • Expert Palpation and Body Assessment: Ability to assess muscle tone, tension patterns, and structural imbalances through skilled palpation, guiding effective treatment plans.

  • Passion for Therapeutic Bodywork: Ideal for those with a strong interest in working with injuries and postural dysfunction, applying targeted therapeutic and medical-based techniques to support recovery, restore alignment, and enhance overall function.

  • Understanding of Myofascial and Neuromuscular Systems: Skilled in recognizing patterns of dysfunction within musculoskeletal system and fascia, addressing adhesions, postural imbalances, and movement restrictions to restore optimal function.

  • Highly Skilled at Hands-On Techniques: Proficient in a diverse range of massage modalities, including deep tissue, Swedish, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and specialized methods, with a strong focus on effectiveness, client comfort, and safety.

  • Integration of Complementary Modalities: Knowledge of complementary techniques such as cupping, or heat applications, with a willingness to learn and incorporate them to enhance treatment outcomes.

  • Growth Mindset & Problem-Solving Skills: We love working with individuals who are naturally curious, self-directed, and driven to solve problems. Candidates should have a strong desire to expand their expertise, refine techniques, and explore complementary modalities.
