Medical Massage

Medical massage is a therapeutic massage that requires medical necessity. The goal with injury specific rehabilitation is to increase mobility, decrease discomfort, boost circulation, and improve healing time from an injury. Multiple techniques may be used to improve overall function, such as, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, Positional Release, Cupping, Trigger Point, and Manual Therapy. Multiple visits may be needed to return the body to a pre-injury state. At this time, insurance companies do not acknowledge stress reduction or relaxation as a reason for medical necessity. (Although, we’ve heard this can be a pleasant side-effect!)
